Kaden went for his first swim today. He did quite well and loved his float! He learned how to splash and enjoyed time with his mother on her first mother's day!
Mommy, I love you For all that you do. I'll kiss you and hug you 'Cause you love me, too. You feed me and need me To teach you to play, So smile 'cause I love you On this Mother's Day.
I can't believe how fast my little man is growing! He's just over 5 months old, wearing 9 month old clothes and in the 90th percentile for height and weight! Big boy! Recently he's been doing SO many adorable things and he's more and more fun every day! A couple of weeks ago he found his feet and now he's in love with them, always holding them and eating them! And eating everything else too- edible or not! He's starting to explore everything with his mouth although I don't really think he's teething yet. He's also starting to sit up on his own, although he's still pretty wobbly, but it's really cute. He especially likes to sit in the shopping cart. And he actually looks tiny in his highchair! Which leads to his baby food explorations! So far, he hasn't come across a food he doesn't like...applesauce, bananas, sweet peas, peaches and sweet potatoes...all successful! He also likes to eat fruit in his mesh bag, which lets him suck the juice out but not eat the actual pulp of the fruit so he can't choke on it. Kaden is much more interested in the toys I have been obsessed with buying him that he previously could have cared less about! He especially loves his Sing and Play Piano and all the toys on his exersaucer (which we lovingly refer to as the "circle of neglect!") It's nice that he's able to entertain himself now. He smiles all the time and is laughing a lot now too! And yes, he is still successfully sleeping through the night. I really think he's a decoy baby...he's just too good to be true and I think he's going to trick us into having another baby (some day in the not-so-near future- no rumors please!) and of course the next one will be a nightmare baby! It's got to catch up to us sometime! So anyway, I'm going to continue to enjoy our little man every day and continue to thank God for sending him to us! The best though...yesterday he was being held by someone else (in a great mood) and he saw me and reached his arms out for me! I MELTED! He knows his Mommy and I love it!
